Reviews of Osceola Street Cafe

Thanksgiving Day, 2006 the Stuart News reviewed the Osceola Street Cafe:

Restaurant review: A different story day and night at the Osceola Street Cafe in Stuart

November 23, 2006

It never ceases to amaze me that with the flick of a switch (or dimming of the lights), Osceola Street Cafe transitions from busy (sometimes noisy) breakfast and lunch joint to cool, kind of Euro-chic bistro at night. There is something absolutely magical and charming about Osceola Street after sunset, and the cafe with the street's namesake makes magic not only with its ambiance, but with its menu as well.

The wine list has expanded (kudos to our server for being so knowledgeable) and the dinner menu is broad enough to satisfy picky eaters but sophisticated enough to focus on quality of product, and beautiful yet interesting presentation. A glass of pinot grigio ($6.50) and cabernet ($6) made us feel like we were in Paris as we enjoyed one of the most delightfully authentic tapenades and perfect bread we've had in a long time.  CLICK HERE for the full review.

Randall Murray: Personality as pleasing as food at Osceola Street Cafe

Without reservations

By Randall Murray

Grazing was a trend in dining several years back. It's still fun, especially at places like Osceola Street Cafe in historic Stuart.

For those not familiar with the term, "grazing" means sampling a number of appetizers in lieu of entrees.raft of restaurants sprang up in the mid-1980s catering to that fashion. And although Osceola Street Cafe is not dedicated to that premise, for those who like to sample a number of finessed dishes in sensible quantities, it's a fun way to dine.

Osceola Street Cafe has a split personality — you can enter either from Flagler Avenue or Osceola Street. Whichever way you walk in, you'll receive a friendly greeting and be seated in a high-ceilinged dining area with a contemporary veneer.

There's a bar to set off the tables, and a six-seat table in a window overlooking Flagler. There's not a bad seat in the house.

The cafe, which began as a breakfast-lunch eatery, offers patrons an indefinable quality called "personality." It's comfortable, ergonomically pleasing and fun for the eyes.  CLICK HERE for the full review.
